On January 2, 2024, the critic Milkman Saito, who was active as one of the subculture world’s leading intellectuals, suddenly passed away. Since CLUB METRO opened in the 1990s, he has been a musician, a member of groovisions, a pioneer of Japanese VJ, a film critic and a lecturer at Metro University, and above all, his overwhelming love for knowledge, insight, and smiles. I am truly indebted to your generous personality.Tonight, friends who worked with Mr. Saito in Kyoto and Osaka since the early 1990s will gather to hold a party to send off Mr. Saito, who loved to have fun, in a lively manner. Mr. Milkman truly poured out his tremendous love for various cultures and was loved by many people. We would appreciate it if as many people as possible could participate if their time allows.
